About BSCNZ

		About BSCNZ Building Service Contractors New Zealand is a membership organization representing: owner-operators small to medium size companies all of New Zealand's major contractors. Our members provide general cleaning services as well as a full range of services such as exterior cleaning. Many manufacturers and suppliers of cleaning chemicals and equipment also belong to BSCNZ as Associate Members. Our History 1960 Trade associations formed in the main centres to represent the interests of contract cleaners. 1973 Umbrella organisation "New Zealand Federation of Master Cleaners" established to provide a more cohesive approach, particularly in industrial relations matters. 1988 Local associations reconstituted, forming one national association with branches in the main cities, and known as the Master Cleaners Association of New Zealand Inc. 1993 Name changed to Building Services Contractors of New Zealand Inc to more truly represent the member's activities. While cleaning is still the core business for many members an increasing number offer a wide range of support services such as grounds maintenance, security, rubbish removal and document destruction. This follows an overseas trend towards Multi-Servicing and Facilities Management.
