BSCNZ Membership criteria
Being a member of BSCNZ gives you an edge, a point of difference over
the competition who are not members of the Association. The customer can
be assured you have met certain minimum criteria before being accepted
as an Association member.
These are summarised in our Code of Practice:
1. Quality Service
a. To maintaining a standard of quality service to meet the customers specifications
and expectations.
b. Provide the correct equipment and materials to meet the contract requirements.
2. Health and Safety
a. Ensuring all equipment is maintained in safe working condition.
b. Maintaining safe and healthy workplaces for customers and company workers.
c. Taking positive action to protect the environment by environmentally
safe chemicals and ensuring the safe disposal all chemical wastes.
3. Legal Requirements
a. Complying with all legislation pertaining to the operation of the industry.
b. Keeping proper account books and conducting affairs in accordance with
accepted business practice.
4. Insurance
a. Providing suitable Public Liability Insurance in order to protect customers'
property.
5. Dispute Resolution
a. Participate in a dispute resolution process in the event of a request
to do so by the BSCNZ or a client.
6. Employment Conditions
a. Signatories to the Multi Employer Collective Document would automatically
be required to comply with the Terms and Conditions of that Document.
b. Non-signatories to this Document will be expected to employ staff on
Agreements with no less favourable wages and conditions by 31 December 2003.
As a member you are asked to sign off on the Code of Practice each year.
The customer can be certain that in using a BSCNZ, they are using a company
that complies with the Association Code of Practice.
